READ Ottawa is seeking a motivated and creative volunteer to manage and enhance our digital presence across various platforms. This pivotal role will be crucial in helping us achieve three key goals: increasing community advocacy, recruiting dedicated tutors, and securing vital funding through sponsorships and donations.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) 

• Basic understanding of website content management systems (CMS), specifically Wix.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor messages to different audiences (potential tutors, donors, community members).

• Proficiency in Canva and creating marketing materials that follow established brand guidelines and style guide. 

• Creative mindset with an eye for engaging content and design.

• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and coordinate with the program team.

• Reliable internet access and a personal computer.

• A strong commitment to literacy and READ Ottawa's mission.

Time Commitment:

• Approximately 3-5 hours per week.

• Flexible schedule, with some coordination required for content planning and event support.
