READ Ottawa is proud to be the only nonprofit organization in Ottawa County offering FREE one on one literacy tutoring for adults. We are on a mission to empower local learners with the reading, writing, and language skills they need to succeed - and we need your help to make it happen.

Literacy Champions are monthly donors who pledge $100/month to support our life-changing programs. Your gift provides everything needed to support one tutor/learner pair for an entire year.

Your monthly donation of just $100 covers:

  • Tutor Training & Continuing Education

  • Workbooks, Supplies & Educational Materials

  • Learner Testing & Assessments

  • Tutor/Learner Matching & Support

All donations stay right here in Ottawa County. When you become a Literacy Champion your helping

  • Adults earn GED's or pursue higher education, often in teaching or medical fields

  • Parents read to their children

  • Immigrants & refugees learn English

  • Job seekers gain the skills they need to advance in their careers
